Lymphatic massage
Lymphatic drainage massage aims to stimulate the lymphatic system gently and encourage the natural flow of lymphatic fluid. It helps reduce swelling, promote detoxification, and support immune function.
Feather-Like Strokes
Feathery strokes with the fingertips or palms create a gentle touch on the skin. The pressure is very light, barely exceeding the weight of a nickel.
Rhythmic Movements
Maintaining a consistent pace using slow and rhythmic movements, I follow the natural flow of the lymphatic system.
Directional Flow
The strokes are typically performed in the direction of lymphatic flow, which is towards the nearest lymph nodes. This direction helps facilitate the movement of lymphatic fluid and encourages drainage.
Delicate Pressure
The pressure applied during the light technique is minimal, as the goal is to gently stretch the skin and underlying tissues without compressing them. The therapist maintains a light touch to prevent any discomfort or pain.
Synchronization
The therapist synchronizes the movements of the strokes with the client's breathing pattern, promoting a sense of relaxation and harmony.
