Welcome

Read along once a month or so as I share my take on various topics related to bodywork, wellness, anatomy, energy, and why I think any of it matters.

The elevator speech I still haven’t written:

What kind of work do you do?

I’ve always imagined having a simple, clear answer for that question.

In reality, my response is never the same. It depends on who's asking and the setting and what is their relationship with their body?—and I’ve never been asked in an elevator.

I often struggle to articulate the depth of this work. It is more than a simple massage of the muscles, yes. My approach has always been about layers, meeting the person on my table where they are in their healing cycle.

Receiving bodywork can be a supportive space, time, and a conduit for the body to connect to its innate healing abilities.

No matter where or when you start, if you show up for your body with curiosity and compassion, incredible things can shift energetically, emotionally and physically.

While modern science, research, and quantum physics continue to offer new ways to explain the intricacies of the human body through words, maps and measurements, we can also marvel at the simplicity of just being present for another person.

When someone finds their way to my table, whatever they may be carrying, the intention is always rest and support. Breath. And the understanding that change and softening can happen. We go from there and the body leads the way.

In this blog, I invite you to listen as I explore some of the layers we’re all made of and how we can connect with them to heal.

Thank you for being here.
